Unboxing the TCL 50S435 was an exciting experience, as it’s not every day you get a new TV! The 50-inch screen promises a cinematic viewing experience, and I must admit, it does not disappoint. The 4K Ultra HD picture clarity paired with High Dynamic Range (HDR) truly brings the content to life.
The smart functionality of this TV is one of its standout features. With over half a million movies and TV episodes available through the intuitive Roku interface, I’ve never been short of content to enjoy. It’s surprisingly easy to navigate, even for someone like me who isn’t particularly tech-savvy.
However, it’s important to note that the stand does add a significant amount to the TV’s overall depth. If you’re planning on wall-mounting this TV, ensure you have enough space between your mountings to accommodate the TV without the stand.
The direct lit LED screen produces a great picture quality, but I would advise those who prefer deeper blacks and brighter whites to consider other models with full array backlighting. Nevertheless, the brightness and color reproduction are more than sufficient for most viewing conditions.
