I recently had the pleasure of acquiring the Hot Toys Robocop MMS 16 Scale ED-209 Figure, and I must say, it’s an impressive piece that truly brings back memories of the classic 1987 sci-fi movie. Standing at approximately 13.75-inches tall, this enforcement droid figure is a sight to behold.

The detail on ED-209 is simply astonishing. With over 30 points of articulation, the figure is highly detailed, showcasing a newly sculpted body that accurately replicates the movie’s ED-209 design. The interchangeable battle-damaged arm adds an extra layer of realism, and I appreciate the improved articulation in the arms, legs, and claws that better simulates the droid’s movements.

One of the standout features is the sound system. This figure speaks three memorable quotes along with various sound effects from the film, adding a unique and immersive element to my collection. The remote control included allows for easy management of these sounds, making it a joy to interact with ED-209.

That being said, no product is without its minor flaws. While the overall quality of the figure is exceptional, I found that some of the smaller details, such as the circuitry patterns on the body, could have been more intricately designed for a more authentic look. Nonetheless, these are minor nitpicks in an otherwise fantastic collectible.
